Mais Brasileiros?

Weird. I decided to stop by Subway for lunch after riding up to DMV to do some business. Sitting near me at Subway I could hear a man talking to his boy. I didn't eavesdrop, but I could hear just enough to recognize they were speaking in Portuguese. Ah! How cool is that!?

I couldn't help myself. I walked over and asked if the man was from Brasil. He said he was born there, son of a missionary. His boy is half-Brazilian because like me, the man is married to a Brazilian. Very cool! I didn't get contact information or anything, but it was nice to "randomly" hear of someone in a similar situation. I like hearing people speak in Portuguese: brings back great memories. I used to have several friends with Brazilian wives. Unfortunately that segment of my life is in the past. This was a nice and unexpected surprise - and so soon after my first recent exposure to Brazilians at work.
