Laundry Intercession Party
Last night (OK, this morning - WAY early) I decided to address the issue of having virtually nothing to wear. Nearly all the clothes I own were in the dirty laundry busket. I had fond memories of my previous laundry room Bible Study caper and decided to do some sort of repeat. I find it easier to concentrate there because there aren't really any distractions.
I brought my journals and Bible, intending to read and review more of Romans chapter 1 for my meeting with Elder Dave. Our first Romans meeting still hasn't happened because of scheduling conflicts - gives me AMPLE time to think about it... or be lazy about it! Instead, I realized there are some pretty serious prayer needs that have been posted on my church forum. It was on my heart to pray for them, so I did it. I brought a candle into the laundry room to set a prayerful atmosphere.
All the necessary supplies, including 3 big loads of laundry, detergent, dryer sheets, folding camp chair, journals, Bible, pens, printed prayer requests, tripod, camera, massive caffeinated beverage, popcorn, and other junk food :) It took me 3 trips to get all this stuff to the laundry room, and a couple more trips to get a few random little things.
My setup. Later I turned the lights off, when I realized I probably wouldn't do much reading.
