Time to Act

Just a quick note to remind myself how awesome God is and to thank Him for meeting me in the form of His Spirit. Last week my book of choice for listening to at work was Acts. Being that I'm seven days behind in my daily Bible reading, I didn't yet see that after Luke in the lineup comes Acts. How cool is that! I can't stop saying how crazy this reading plan has been. It so connects with what is going on that I can't even fathom it. Elder Dave has said the same. A couple days ago, my mom and I were talking about the very same thing also. What are the "chances" that a "randomly" published reading plan would so vividly connect with at least three distinct lives in such an obvious way? Fortunately I don't believe in luck. I believe the Spirit of God orchestrates such things to bless His children, we who are so much in need of seeing Him. He is indeed invisible. It takes great faith to believe. Yet for those who look, you will find Him. He is working in your life every day. Without Him, we would all fade away.

I'm about to catch up on 7 days of reading... instead of using the online thing, this time I'm going to put the catch-up chapters on my MP3 player and listen to them while I take a hot bath. Ah, that's the life. I might even gobble on an ungodly bowl of ice cream. I trust the Spirit will still work through the Word coming into my ears, even if I'm rebellious in my snack choice!
