Oh My (Serious Lack of) Goodness!

I've been listening to Acts, Romans and I Corinthians today. I didn't realize I had reached the "border" of Romans and thought I was still listening to Romans. I was hearing things like nuts there, of course. But then I Corinthians started playing... um, HELLO! Heaven forbid I don't write something about all this I'm hearing! Of course I already emailed myself about 5 other topics to write about... so who knows if I'll get this far. I may have to skip ahead, cuz I can hardly stand it!

And regarding the title of this post... read slowly and thoughtfully - and hold your head tightly, lest it explode!

So Jesus said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God."

Mark 10:18 NKJV

Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Philippians 2:5-11 NKJV

Talk about confounding the wise... some would say this is an indication that Jesus considers Himself "less than" God. How about you search the scriptures for yourself and come up with your own answer - I have mine! :)

For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence. But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God - and righteousness and sanctification and redemption - that, as it is written, "He who glories, let him glory in the LORD."

I Corinthians 1:26-31 NKJV

Oops! Did I just talk about what I intended? Did I give it away? Perhaps I did... but that's no excuse not to write more! It's funny - I looked up "confound the wise", remembering that there was a scripture about that somewhere... just so happens it's in I Corinthians, the very passage that confounded me to write this very post :) (once upon a time I considered myself somewhat wise, but I'm finding my only boast is in Christ!). As they say, "Circular logic will make you dizzy!" If you want a brain ache, read this: Circular Logic. I, just recovering from severe brain ache, didn't read it! That would be a sign of insanity! Okay, so maybe I'll read it later... okay, probably not. Wait a minute, I'm talking to myself!

By the way, if you were praying for me today because of my frantic post last night, worrying that I was losing my mind - THANKS. As I hope you can tell from this post here, your prayers are more than answered. Now pray that the reverse doesn't happen - that my head is so full of thoughts that I have a melt-down! In fact, this may have been what caused the first effect, I'm still trying to figure it all out. I know, stop trying, and just enjoy it while it lasts, right!? Sorry, I'm trying. Easier said than done. By the way, don't actually pray what I just said - please. I'd rather my head explaud with such knowledge than miss out.
