Who knows exactly what drove me to draw this one. The idea is that Batman is on his nightly patrols of Gotham City. Now everyone knows that Batman is a master of stealth and being aware of his surroundings. Yet in this case he is surprised and caught off guard at the approach of a mere street girl. Perhaps the girl cannot read for herself, or she simply wants to share something with this dark, lonely soul. Whatever the case, Batman is touched and decides to spend a moment with the girl. Even heroes are human, with soft spots. I suppose in this moment, Batman, who is passionate in his battle against injustice is broken enough to shed a tear. Hmmm... I wonder which verse he read. We can only guess. As is the case for any of us, Batman's only hope can be found in the Bible and in Jesus Christ.
