Bethlehem 2005

This drawing might appear to be a sacreligious slur. Well, that is pretty much what it is, but it is not an original idea, nor does it have vile intent. The purpose is simply to illustrate an atrocity that is already happening in our modern society. Every Christmas I notice more and more how "politically incorrect" it is to mention CHRISTmas or Jesus. The very holiday (holy day) that was designed to celebrate Jesus' birth is now not much more than the celebration of presents, Santa, Rudolph, Frosty and the elves. It's still "the most wonderful time of the year" for many, including me. You just have to try to celebrate the day in a way that is meaningful. Let the others spray paint the stable red and green... just as long as Jesus is still there, where it all began. I wrote a poem to accompany this drawing that should be found in the poetry gallery.
