Clyde Cried Stork as Sonny Sank Tidbister
I drew this card while my dad and I were driving to Gold Beach to help move my grandparents up to Portland. It has no particular meaning or message. I always enjoy the unpredictable irregularities that occur while drawing on the road. Sometimes it is best to let the vibrations make the drawing. I often try to simulate random jigglies by moving my hand around, so it is a relief to see them flow naturally.
Though the drawing has no meaning, I built in several forms into it. The most obvious is the creature with the Elvis-style hair on the top left. His muscular arm is extending to the right and forms the beak of a duck-like goof with rounded teeth below. The cobblestone bubblies on the bottom left represent the multi-creature's propulsion method. I guess it expels highly compressed bubbles (or stones?) to thrust it through space. The scribbles on the right of the drawing have no defined form or intent.
