Rock Fortress of Solitude
At the right time, in the last half of my cabin retreat, a song came to me. I hadn't heard or sung it in a very long time. It's a precious song, from the golden age of my worship. What does that mean? Well, I mean there was a time before adult life began to crowd out my awe of God... back when the songs presented in traditional church were precious to me, when I revered the worship leaders as if there was no higher calling. All those songs are precious to me still - too many to list. Here's a charmer from that age.
Praise the Name of Jesus
Praise the name of Jesus
Praise the name of Jesus
He's my rock,
He's my fortress,
He's my deliverer,
In Him will I trust.
Praise the name of Jesus.
