Sadie's sticking to the shaded areas brought back a childhood memory. Nana and Grandpa used to babysit my sister and I in the summers of our childhood. One of our favorite things to do was swim in the trailer park community pool. To get there we had to traverse hot asphalt for a few blocks. We always ran to each shady spot afforded by trees to rest our roasted feet. I remember that I developed some mean callouses from doing this so often - callouses that stayed with me for many years after that.
