Despite the questionable road conditions, this was an amazingly safe trip due to very low traffic. Until this point, when the sun was coming up, I could probably count the number of cars encountered in both directions on a single hand. Apparently no one else is crazy enough to be driving at 4 o'clock in the morning! It may have been around 7:00 here, as traffic was beginning to appear.
