I needed an image showing the C2F building, so I started with this photo I shot for a past presentation project. The problem is: I don't want the trees, just the building. First, I selected a square area of the cobblestone wall to create a pattern to use to patch over the tree and other undesired features. I filled in those features. I then recreated the top face of the wall. I cut and past the bottom row of windows to the top, since the top ones were almost covered by the intricate branches and twigs of the tree. I corrected the perspective of these new windows to match the building. I masked out the building and pasted it on top of the Art Rage painting, pulling some grass up over the bottom edge. I originally copied the shadow of the building too, but the angle made no sense for the light source, so I removed it. I overlaid a couple gradients on the building to create the illusion of the light shining from the direction of the sun. I applied an artistic filter to the building to give it a more rough, hand-drawn feel to better match the rest of the image.
