Concept 18: A variation of Concept 11 with a little more character and simplicity.
Concept 19: These aren't necessarily in chronological order, because this one came before the Concept 12. I was playing with a crescent cross and noticed it looked a bit like a creature here and exaggerated it even more to create the Evangel Creature.
Concept 20: Another incomplete reworking of the beveled cross and crescent letters.
Concept 21: I guess I noticed the stained glass sunray, Concept 5 could be reformulated into a heart shape, and then curved so the heart looked like a 3D globelike structure, with longitude and latitude lines.
Concept 22: Similar to the house in Concept 17, except the house is replaced with an Easter-esque tomb with the stone rolled away.
Concept 23: Just some random lines to kickstart my brain. This may have been the first sketch, I can't remember now.
Concept 24: Yet another variation of the crescent letters.
Concepts 25, 26: This idea inspired much of the material for the final. I came up with the idea that the members of the church (body of Christ) could be symbolized by circles or spheres. In this case, the members are surrounding the cross, connected in a circle, representing the fact that Jesus wants us to be one as He and the Father are one (John 17:20-23)
Concept 27: This was the final sketch that I did on the church bulletin. At this point I decided to start using the computer. I generally liked the idea of a ring of spheres encircling the cross, and went back to a 3D, soft, rounded cross.
